I Carry Her with Me, 2021 is a multi-component installation that engages with entanglements of Country and identity. The artist uses a multi-sensory approach that speaks to the concepts of Indigenous learning.

This exhibition, along with the accompanying exegesis was undertaken as the final assessment for BFA with Honours at University of Tasmania.

Mayana Trawna | Body Country, 2021

This moving image work is an investigation of my Indigenous identity, how it sits in my body, an imperfect catchment.

Mangana, 2021

A guttural sound piece created from field recordings. It embodies the cries of Country, of Aboriginal people, of the atrocities witnessed. It is a breaking, a spilling out from the silencing. It is a longing, a mourning.

An Inconsistent Curing, 2021

The bodies of my ancestors hang, in their kelp form. As guidance, as protection, as reminder.
